Niobium – Custom Machined Parts
Pure niobium has good relatively machinability among refractory metals. The melting point of this metal is 2477 ℃, and also, it is superior in corrosion resistance. Comparing to tantalum, material that have high corrosion resistance, the cost of niobium is not so expensive.
Niobium C103 is an alloy composed of 89% niobium, 10% hafnium, and 1% titanium.
It excels in situations requiring extremely high temperatures, combining high-temperature strength, corrosion resistance, and workability. This alloy is most commonly used in the aerospace industry.
